autumn and architecture….

One of the most amazing things about living here is watching the dramatic change in season.  My favourite season by far would have to be autumn. The colours are divine.  The mornings are crisp and clear and most days by lunch the sky is the most wonderful shade of blue.  Back at home in Sydney we seem to skip autumn and go head first into what sometimes feels like a 6 month long summer. Which, mind you, is its own sort of wonderful too!

Another part of life here in Munich that stands out as something quite beautiful is the architecture. The grand old buildings, or the grand old dames as I like to call them, that seem to have stood the test of time. Whereas, in actual fact, many of them were rebuilt in their original style after the second world war.  These buildings are in every neighbourhood and every now and then in-between them a modern building has popped up. But in true German style these two worlds meet seamlessly.

I wanted to put together a photo collection of our snaps from autumn and around our neighbourhood so I can remember it in all its glory.  I hope you enjoy it too.
