''a person's a person, no matter how small''...

A little while ago, in a previous post here, I talked about Lynne, Mark and baby Alex. The post was about the half marathon Mark was participating in to raise money for premi babies in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick.  This morning I received an email from Lynne with great news that I wanted to share.

''Hello!!!! Yesterday we got up at 5.30am (after not getting alot of sleep through nerves and excitement) to head into Hyde Pk to meet the team of wonderful men and women who were running the Half Marathon to raise money for the R.H.W. There were over 200 runners in our team and 10 000 in the whole event!!!! The atmosphere was amazing! Mark completed the 21.5kms in 98.3 mins. under his 100 min goal. I am so proud of him, he even crossed the finish line with a smile on his face! Im also very proud of John who finished just a few minutes later.... what legends!!! We have raised $5300 so far between John, Ange,  Mark and i and we are waiting on one friend to get back to us with his donation,he had a promo at the paddo inn so there may be a couple of hundred there!! Thankyou again for your generous donation! We have helped to save lives! "A person's a person no matter how small" dr seuss .... I hope you guys are well and the weather starts to warm up soon. LOVE YOU.....Lynne xxx''

They have done such a wonderful job in raising funds in Alex's memory and to help other premature babies who are born at the RHW. We wish that we could have been there in person to support Lynne and Mark, but just knowing that our donation has gone towards helping to save little lives makes our hearts sing.

Love and best wishes to you Lynne and Mark, love and miss you. xxxx
