a weekend in Salzburg

We have just spent a lovely weekend in Salzburg. Caught the train from Munich on Saturday morning, two hours later we were wandering the charming cobblestone paths in the shopping district. I adore Salzburg.  I don't know what it is exactly, I think it's the whole combination of ancient walled city, beautiful historic altstadt, lovely shops, friendly people, good food, great scenery...I love it. I love the whole vibe it gives off.  And we have been very blessed to have had the opportunity to visit Salzburg a number of times over the past 3 years. Very blessed indeed.

Take a wander with me...

Baischer Galerie in Linzergasse, Salzburg
My absolute favourite jewellery shop (where I have been lucky enough over the past few years to make a few little purchases!) and we can not make a trip to Salzburg without stopping in to see what wonderful creations they have in their Galerie. This is the gorgeous Andrea Baischer (who is a gem herself!), who manages the galerie and her brother makes all the jewellery. I'm going to miss her. But she promises to visit me, one day!

I'm starting to wonder where you actually have a home!! You have so many travel posts! I'm rather jealous of all your galivanting around Europe.

Never fear, they are all about to come to a crashing end - in 11 weeks. Then you'll be stuck with posts about life in the 'burbs in Sydney!! We have to make the most of this galavanting while we can ; ) before life is back to normal!

Salzburg sounds lovely! Its a town I've read about only in history books...how nice to 'see' it come alive in your photographs.

Thank you lovely ladies for your wonderful comments. The streets of Salzburg really are magical, it's a gorgeous place to visit, spring and summer are the best times to go.
