ahhhh...the weekend

The snow is quietly falling here again. Just in time for the weekend. The kids will love it. Lazy morning sleep-ins, long breakfasts, hot chocolates and cosy, snuggle-up-on-the-lounge-tv watching....I seem to spend a very large portion of my week wishing my life away waiting for the weekend to arrive. Thank you weekends, I love you so and I am very grateful for you coming around every 5 days!

I'm exactly the same with weekends. I love the slower pace and the time to relax together. Your description of weekends sounds idyliic.

When we go out in the snow and then come back in, we often have hot buttered toast by the fire.

Enjoy the snow - ours has all gone for now.

Oh for the love of snow... we are slightly snowed in here..it doesn't fall lightly it falls heavenly....but the kids love it and build forts out of the snow that is plowed into huge piles

I don't think you're alone in wishing for the weekend, but when it's a delightfully simple and snuggly as the one you've described it's easy to understand why you have.

Here's to all the wonders of a easy-going weekend!

Thank you so much girls for your lovely comments.

Yes indeedy, as I hear about my friends at home who have the usual weekends crammed full of ferrying kids from one sporting event to the next, squeezing in the grocery shopping and finding a small moment in time for themselves, I am very, very grateful for our quiet, wintery, easy going weekends - gotta make the most of this time of my life as it will be over all too soon and then it will be the crazy full on weekends that most of us are use to!! : )

So off we go for our wintery walk in the snow...it really is as peaceful and serene as our pic shows!! Very lucky to be living in this little spot in the world indeed.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend and Felicity thanks so much for sharing that recipe. Sounds perfect - so easy I can't even go wrong!!
