snippets from the weekend

We took the ferry into the city on Saturday evening to have a look at the Christmas decorations in the Queen Vic building and then to watch the fireworks at Darling Harbour. A great way to spend a Saturday evening and to get into the spirit of the season. I haven't been feeling all that Christmassy of late. This is my first Christmas without mum, so it just hasn't been feeling "right". So I'm trying to shake that feeling and get into a good frame of mind for my own little family and this trip out certainly helped : )

i love sydney harbour. it really is beautiful and amongst all the busyness of the city, it is amazing how relaxed you feel. i will be there myself in 2 weeks time for our work christmas function over at the Sugar Room. looking forward to an overnight stay or two prior to Christmas. i hope your spirits are lifted soon. xo.

Oh loverly photos Alison... I know the exact positions of those pics, I took similar ones a few weeks back on the Manly ferry. Love that harbour :o)
I know the feeling about not feeling very festive. This year, it is taking some real effort to get into it for me also. Not sure exactly why, but I think much of it has to do with the undue pressure the festive season seems to bring... this year, it seems even more intense than normal xo
