Isabelle's Christening

It was a beautiful day, full of tradition and family. Just lovely. Lynne and Mark decided on a private ceremony for the christening and I think this made it even more special. I'd never been to a Greek Orthodox Christening, so the (almost) full immersion in the font was a sight to see (and hear, baby Is was not too happy about that!). I felt so proud to be part of it and to have the honour of being Miss Issy's Godmother. Proud as punch! We followed the christening with a delicious lunch with family. (I didn't make my choc pear tart, Isabelle's Yiayia provided some beautiful Greek desserts-yum-but will definitely make it one day this week as a special treat...there goes the diet again!)

Gotta love pupil free days, so the kids and I took advantage of their day off school to visit their littlest cousin...Issy...And guess who is crawling! Oh boy we love this kid!

Welcome to the world...

Welcome to the world little Isabelle Rose...

Miss Isabelle arrived in the world just hours before we arrived home in Sydney for Christmas...thank you so much little Issey for waiting for us and we are so, so, so glad we got to meet you and spend a little bit of time cuddling you before we had to head back over to the cold side of the world. By the time we come home again, you'll almost be a grown woman...well ok, maybe not...you'll only be about 6 months old...but it will feel like forever before we see you again...Miss you guys so much.
